Woman shot at Carroll County library

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- One woman was shot at the West Rome Library in Carrollton on Monday afternoon.

According to reports, a suspect walked into the library around 5 p.m. and shot another woman. 

Authorities say the accused shooting fled to the Carroll County Electric Membership Cooperative where she was arrested. 

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. The Carroll County EMC is located 155 N. Highway 113 in Carrollton. 

No further information was immediately available.

The fun will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. among the historic buildings on Adamson Square.

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Canadian folk trio The Good Lovelies will perform at the University of West Georgia this weekend.

The Good Lovelies -- Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore -- play a wide range of instruments and cover several different musical genres in their upbeat shows. They have been invited to perform at folk festivals all over the world.

ATLANTA -- With hundreds of thousands of people planning to attend events in the City over the next four days, transportation officials have released a list of street closures, as well as parking suggestions and travel tips. The following comprehensive information was collected from the Atlanta Police Department, the Georgia Department of Transportation, and MARTA.

A.P.D. - The Atlanta Police Department reminds the public of heavy traffic volume in Downtown Atlanta from April 4th-8th , centered around the Final Four basketball tournament and related events around the Georgia Dome.  The Department is urging event-goers and others who must travel into Downtown to consider taking MARTA, or other alternative modes of travel to decrease volume.
