CARROLLTON, GA -- Dr. Mark Mathabane, a New York Times bestselling author and South African native, will discuss his life story at the University of West Georgia's Campus Center Ballroom on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Mathabane, who grew up in South Africa during apartheid, has written several books, including his autobiography, Kaffir Boy, which ranked number three on the New York Times bestseller list. He has also made appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "Larry King Live" and many other television programs.
