Costume Contest to Be Held at Final UWG Football Game

CARROLLTON, GA -- Local youth are invited to participate in the second annual "Howl-o-ween" costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 23, when the University of West Georgia Wolves football team takes on Delta State University at 2:00 p.m. in University Stadium.

For area children, $25 cash prizes will be awarded at halftime for the best costumes in the "ages six and under" and the "ages seven to 12" categories. A $50 cash prize will go to the winner of the "teenagers" category. UWG students in costume will be admitted to the game free of charge.

There will also be categories for UWG students, UWG faculty and staff (including retirees) and Delta State University students.

To participate, check in at the judging table at the stadium site between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on game day. Instructions for seating and the halftime parade will be provided at check-in.
