BEST SPOTS: Dog Parks | Environment
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- For this week's edition of Best Spots, we have compiled a list of dog parks for you to take you furry friend for some fun.
Recently, dog parks have been sprouting up in the Atlanta area. With newly modified leash law restrictions, owners who may or may not have yards need a place for their dogs to run free and get adequate daily exercise.
Some say, these parks are becoming more popular as the country begins placing more of an emphasis on health following the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative.
Dog owners in the Douglasville can take their furry children to the Deer Lick Park for some off-leash exercise. The park is fenced and smaller dogs and larger dogs have separate play areas. The park is located at 2105 Mack Road in Douglasville.
Burger Park in Smyrna is, also, an off-leash park and is moderately sized, for its type. The park has areas from dogs under thirty pounds and over thirty pounds. The park is located at 680 Glendale Place.
Popular Lake Court Park has two dog park sections and it’s smaller than Burger Park. Area residents say, this park is more visually pleasing than Burger Park however it’s about one-third of the size. Lake Court Park is located at 3500 Lake Drive Southeast in Smyrna.
Be sure to take photos of you and your dog at the park, this weekend, and send them to email@example.com. Next week, the “Where U Live” team will compile a list of BEST SPOTS for Neighborhood Thrift Stores.
