Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver to perform at Mill Town Music Hall

BREMEN, Ga. -- Mill Town Music Hall is proud to host Bluegrass Hall of Fame musician Doyle Lawson and his band Quicksilver on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at 7 p.m.

Judge Talford will open the concert with their unique sound of bluegrass instrumental and rich vocal harmonies.

Doyle Lawson and his band Quicksilver have multiple Grammy, Dove, ICM, IBMA and SPBGMA Award nominations to their credit and have produced nearly 40 albums. In addition, Lawson is the reigning SPBGMA Mandolin Player of the Year, seven-time recipient of the IBMA Vocal Group of the Year and was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in September 2012. He has been called the ‘mandolin virtuoso’ with ‘perfectly silken harmony’ by the New York Times.

Michael W. Smith brings ‘A New Hallelujah’ to Mill Town Music Hall

BREMEN, Ga. -- One of contemporary Christian’s music legends, Michael W. Smith, will come to Mill Town Music Hall to sing from his vast catalogue of hits on Mar. 6, 2015. Tickets for “An Evening with Michael W. Smith” are now on sale. Concert goers will enjoy every moment with this American Music Award recipient who has been playing music and singing for more than three decades and is showing no signs of stopping.

Michael W. Smith’s music career accelerated in the 90’s with the release of Go West Young Man. The crossover hit, Place in this World, soared to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. His next album contained a No. 1 adult contemporary hit, "I Will Be Here for You." Smith continued his music ventures in the 90’s by opening his own record label, Rocketown Records, for other artists. Following the shootings at Columbine High School in 1999, Smith released the song "This is Your Time," based on student Cassie Bernall’s story.

Billy Dean, Kris Allen to perform at Mill Town

BREMEN, Ga. -- Mill Town Music Hall is excited to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Billy Dean and his band, The Steel Horses, on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. American Idol champion Kris Allen will perform from his collection of soulful pop-rock hits on Friday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. Tickets for both of these concerts went on sale Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. Concert goers will be entertained by two great vocalists as they sing from their own music collections.

The New Year’s Eve Celebration will be highlighted with Billy Dean, who will perform during an evening full of family-friendly events to ring in the New Year. Following the concert, there will be a dessert and coffee bar, a dance party featuring 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music, viewing of Atlanta’s Peach Drop on the big screen and a sparkling cider toast at midnight. An optional dinner buffet catered by Events by Joshua D is available prior to the concert.

Mel Tillis to perform fundraising concert at Mill Town Music Hall

BREMEN, Ga. -- Legendary entertainer Mel Tillis will take the stage at Mill Town Music Hall on Friday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket sales from the show will benefit the Harold Shedd Music Mill Gallery. Tillis worked with his long-time friend and Bremen-native Harold Shedd while at the Music Mill Studio in Nashville, Tenn. The Harold Shedd Music Gallery is scheduled to open later in 2014.

Thirty-six of Tillis’ songs have reached Top 10 status (with nine going to Number One). Some of his Top 10 Hits include "I Ain't Never," "Good Woman Blues" and "Coca-Cola Cowboy." In 2012, President Barack Obama awarded Tillis the National Medal of Arts for his contributions to country music.

‘The Heart Behind the Music’ highlights talent of 4 country stars

BREMEN, Ga. -- Mill Town Music Hall welcomes “The Heart Behind The Music” tour featuring four prominent country musicians on Thursday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Concert attendees will be entertained by Deana Carter, Billy Dean, Teddy Gentry and Bryan White who will share stories and perform songs from their music catalogue.

The four country music stars will perform individually and collectively, as they share the stories behind the hits they wrote:

Deana Carter broke through in 1996 with the release of her debut album, Did I Shave My Legs for This?, which sold more than 5 million copies. Since then, Carter's albums have accounted for 14 hit singles, including three which reached Number One on the Billboard country charts: Strawberry Wine, We Danced Anyway and How Do I Get There. In 2013, she released her latest album Southern Way of Life.

David Phelps to bring his signature tenor to Mill Town Music Hall

BREMEN, Ga. -- The multi-talented David Phelps will bring his remarkable vocal range and  his ability to create songs that imitate the Ultimate Life to Mill Town Music Hall on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Phelps’ melodies have been sung at Carnegie Hall, the White House and on numerous award-winning Gaither “Homecoming” collections.

Phelps is known for having an eclectic style that is sure to appeal to all musical preferences from gospel, country, contemporary and even classical.  Growing up in the tumbleweeds of Tomball, Texas, in a musical and faith-filled family, Phelps exhibited a gift in vocal performance at a young age.  Phelps went on to complete a music degree from Baylor University.
