ADOPT A PET: Meet Cutie | Pets
CARROLLTON, Ga. – If you dream of coming home to a wet nose, wagging tail and tons of kisses (in addition to, perhaps, a half chewed shoe or overturned trashcan) adopt a puppy from your local pet shelter. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers but adopting a "companion" for yourself or your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
According to the Carroll County Animal Shelter, Cutie is a sweet puppy; they think she’s a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix because she’s slightly undersized to be considered a full breed Labrador puppy. Because Cutie is undersized she probably won’t grow to be as large as a Labrador. She is extremely excitable and probably will be until she’s about a year old, she’s currently about five months old. Like any puppy, Cutie would benefit from some light training and has the potential to grow into a beautiful, well-trained adult dog. Cutie can be adopted for $115.
If one should choose to adopt a pet from the Carroll County Humane Society, the adoption fee includes: vaccinations and de-worming, a veterinarian visit, a microchip and surgical sterilization. And, a list of the basic requirements for adoption can be found here. The Carroll County Humane Society is located at 525 East Montgomery Street in Villa Rica.
