TEMPLE, Ga. -- Stores with beer and wine licenses in Temple can begin selling alcohol on Sundays.
The city council earlier this week approved a change in its ordinance to allow for Sunday sales. The Times-Georgian reports that 54 percent of voters approved of Sunday sales during the July 31 election.
Under the new ordinance, stores can sell alcohol starting after 12:30 p.m.
The city will hold another vote on Nov. 6 to decide whether restaurants should be able to serve liquor by the drink on Sundays.
